British Council Russian Textbook Project
New
Millennium English and Millie
are both projects initiated by the British
Council, Moscow. Their aim is to enable Russian schools to adopt the
latest international EFL methodology. The British
Council has trained teams of experienced teacher-authors from all
eight time zones of Russia and sent many of them on courses at the Department
of International Education at the University
College of St Mark and St John, Plymouth, UK. The authors now teach
and lecture the length and breadth of Russia on the latest language learning
methodology. Titul
and Brookemead are the co-publishers of the New
Millennium English and Millie
EFL courses, which are approved by the Russian Federal Ministry of Education.
New
Millennium English and Millie
comprise a complete English language teaching programme for Russian state
schools, from Primary Grade 2 to Secondary Grade 11 (age 8-18). Titul
is now the largest publisher of ELT materials in Russia. Titul
and Brookemead ELT are committed to high quality educational publishing,
using the latest EFL methods. The authors of the textbooks are all Russian
experts in their own fields who provide a unique combination of local
knowledge and international standards of best-practice in TEFL.
